Life is easy and fun at Revel Terrace and you also have a variety of events going on throughout the year right in Colorado Springs. Here are some upcoming events to add to your social calendar.
St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations
It’s time for the 39th annual Colorado Springs St. Patrick’s Day Parade taking place March 11, 2023, from noon to 2 pm. The parade kicks off in Downtown Colorado Springs and works its way down Tejon Street from St. Vrain to Vermijo. The event is free for all ages, but you can buy viewing stand tickets for $25 if you’re interested. Wear something green and join in the family friendly celebration!
In addition to the parade, you can always take part in the 5k for St. Patrick’s Day run, the Leprechaun Fun Run for kids, and the Pedalin’ St.Pats Family Ride, which even lets you ride through the parade. Of course, there will also be a full day of celebration at Paddy O’ Pub, which is also on the parade route, so you can sit back, enjoy some Guinness or Irish whiskey and have a marvelous time.
Garden to Peak Challenge
If you’re a runner and want to take things to the next level, the Garden to Peak Challenge could be just the thing for you. The Garden to Peak Challenge is a series of races. The goal is to complete all three races under the mandatory cut-off times. Those who do are recognized as Challenge participants and are eligible for awards, recognition and invitations to exclusive events.
The Garden of the Gods 10-Mile Run is held June 11, 2023, in a spectacular–and challenging– venue. It starts near the Garden of the Gods park entrance and finishes at Rock Ledge Ranch.
Next up is the Barr Trail Mountain Race on July 16, 2023. This is an excellent chance to test your training for the Ascent or Marathon without having to go above 10,200 feet in elevation. This race is a 12.6 mile trail run through one of the nation’s most beautiful forests.
The Pikes Peak Ascent and the Pikes Peak Marathon are held September 16 and 17, 2023, respectively. These two races test runners as they go to an elevation of 14,110 feet, making them an ultimate challenge!
Of course, there are plenty of other things to do in and around Colorado Springs that don’t require as much effort and endurance.
